Join us for the University of Minnesota Day of Data 2022!  This year features a series of virtual events to foster data enthusiasm and critical thinking around the role of data across our University and in society as a whole. The event is free of charge, and open to all students, faculty, staff, and alumni from all University of Minnesota campuses. Whether you are new to data or a data expert, you are welcome! Three session are open to staff, faculty, and students:

  • Thursday Jan. 13, 10am-11:30om: Learn about efforts going on across the University to bring data to new audiences. We'll explore a fascinating range of projects that illustrate new frontiers in data for all!
  • Thursday Jan. 13, 1pm - 2:30pm: What is the role of data and data literacy in a U of M education? Join us for a panel conversation featuring curricular and alumni perspectives on the role of data inside and outside of the classroom.
  • Friday Jan. 14, 10am - 11:30am: Data is playing a larger role than ever in our research, learning, and society at large. This session will explore what it means to think critically about data bias and be ethically responsible in data work.
