About this Event
Serious Illness impacts the entire family, and caregiving can feel overwhelming, frightening, and depleting. This webinar presented by a board-certified palliative care physician will share practical techniques for navigating a loved one’s illness while still attending to one’s own wellbeing. It is appropriate for those with an aging or ill loved one, clinicians who care for ill or aging patients, and anyone who will face illness or aging one day.
The webinar will provide insights to facilitate coping as well as practical tools for reducing stress in the face of serious illness.
Learning objectives:
1. Describe the difference between gratitude and toxic positivity
2. Lead a courageous conversation pertinent to a family facing serious illness
