Join the U.S. Department of State's Diplomat in Residence for the Midwest, Ron Packowitz, as he shares highlights of his 20-year career representing the United States abroad as a diplomat.. He'll also tell how you can join the State Department, including opportunities for college and graduate students.

You will hear from Target Recruiters and Talent Acquisition Leaders on their best tips and tricks for interviewing, teach you how to show up in your interviews and examples of interview questions.

Curious about graduate school?  Wondering if it’s right for you? The Graduate Admissions Office hosts virtual information sessions for prospective applicants. Whether you’re already working on an application or even just thinking about pursuing a graduate degree, we would love to meet with you! These sessions are designed to provide general information about the process of applying to a graduate program and answer any questions you may have.

Please note: These information sessions are intended for individuals in the early stages of applying to graduate school or simply considering graduate study. 

Pursuing a Career Abroad? Where to start? | VIRTUAL |10.28.21 | 12-1 pm, CST Register through Handshake

Interested in pursuing a career overseas? Overseasy is hosting a webinar with UMN Career Services, where you will learn important steps and skills to start the process in going abroad. You will learn how to identify where abroad to go to, tips to researching an international job market, and understanding immigration policies. We’ll be using the Netherlands as a case-study to apply the steps we cover. This session is open to and provides relevant information to all students- including graduate students, international students, and alumni.

Experiencing Minnesota Law is an important and helpful step toward learning more about the application process and student culture. For the best experience as a prospective student, we encourage you to register in advance for a virtual student-led information session.

Government & Non-Profit Career Fair | IN PERSON | 10.29.21 | 10 AM - 3 PM | UMTC Coffman Memorial Union 

This event allows students to pursue professional opportunities and internships in local, state, and federal government, and with nonprofit agencies. Make sure you have your U card. You will need this to check into the event. There is no fee for the event. Check in with our Career Services Office for tips on success for Career Fairs.
